Drying Equipment

This setup of SERVPRO Green drying equipment is specifically set by our production crew to complete the drying of the space in the most efficient way. Once drying equipment is placed, our crew allows it to sit for 24 hours before they come out and re-evaluate a new set up for the equipment to dry the rest of the space.

Demolition Containment

During the water mitigation process, demolition is sometimes necessary to properly mitigate the affected area. When our production crew has to provide demolition services, we always place containment to protect the rest of the structure from any contaminants in the air. This step also helps to avoid any further damage to the home or business.

Post Demolition Drying

Drying is an important part of any water mitigation process. Drying equipment is often placed through all steps of the process. Our production crew will place equipment right away, then if demolition is needed it will be removed to carry out that step. Once all required demolition is complete, to fully dry the affected materials, drying equipment will be placed again.

An Important Part of the Mitigation Process

If you ever have SERVPRO of West Greenville County come out to inspect and provide services of any kind, you may notice one of our production crew holding graph paper. A very important part of the planning process for us relies on the sketch that they make of your affected space during that initial inspection. This not only helps our production team form a plan, but helps us communicate that plan to your insurance company. All the details of your mitigation or remediation job start with a sketch!

Roof tarped to prevent further water damages

Roof Tarping

Roof tarping is always recommended if you experience significant damage to the roof of your home. This helps to prevent further water damages. At SERVPRO of West Greenville County, we do request that this be done before we start our mitigation services.  Beginning services while there is a chance for further damages often requires that we need to come out for a second visit. In the long run, tarping your roof will save our customers money and time.

sliding door boarded up to prevent reentry

First Step in Fire Remediation

One of the first steps our production crew takes in any fire remediation is to board the structure up. This is done for larger structures like this townhome. Boarding up the structure prevents reentry, keeping out wildlife and pests. It keeps the building in the purest 'post-fire' state, allowing our crew to restore without further damages due to weather. There are many reasons SERVPRO of West Greenville County boards up a building, but safety is always our main concern.
